Learning

Jackie Burgos

Hello everyone, my name is Jackie Burgos and I am the treasurer for the FGCU chapter of Phi Alpha Delta fraternity. I am a senior majoring in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies with a minor in Philosophy. I was born in New York, and have moved all around the SWFL region. My ethnic background is Spanish and Italian, and I can speak and understand Portuguese, Spanish, and obviously English. On campus, I am not only involved with PAD, but I am also a member of Kappa Delta sorority where I serve on the philanthropy committee, academic excellence committee and the new member education committee. Aside from Kappa Delta, in my spare time I volunteer at Abuse Counseling and Treatment Inc. as a paralegal. My passions include pursuing an education, being involved, women's rights and gender equality. After graduation, I would like to go to law school and pursue my dream of being an attorney and eventually go back to school and receiver a doctorates in Public Policy. With both of these degrees, I hope to one day be able to lobby for causes that I believe in: Restorative Justice and Women's rights. I am very humbled to be involved with PAD, and can't wait for all of the great things to come. I can't wait to meet you all.
